Movie Review: James Greenberg- Hollywood Reporter

PARK CITY/Sundance Film Festival -- It's no secret that thousands of soldiers are coming back from Iraq and their lives are shattered, but no one wants to think too much about it. Writer-director Ryan Piers Williams does, and he has been researching and reading about the subject for five years. The result is "The Dry Land," a troubling meditation on one man's fall from grace. It's rough stuff and not for everyone, but there should be an audience -- most likely at home -- that cares enough to seek it out.

Movie Review: Kirk Honeycutt- Hollywood Reporter

It took three films, but "The Twilight Saga" finally nails just the right tone in "Eclipse," a film that neatly balances the teenage operatic passions from Stephenie Meyer's novels with the movies' supernatural trappings.

Where the first film leaned heavily on camp and the second faltered through caution and slickness, "Eclipse" moves confidently into the heart of the matter -- a love triangle that causes a young woman to realize choices lead to consequences that cannot be reversed.

Movie Review: Lisa Schwarzbaum- Entertainment Weekly

Like an exciting experimental genetic strain bred of time-tested DNA, the cool, unwieldy sci-fi horror-thriller Splice (in theaters June 4) can trace its cinematic ancestry back to Frankenstein. Yet as co-written and directed with obsessive passion by Vincenzo Natali (Cube), the movie is a cheeky, great-looking, thoughtfully loopy creature feature about the lure and dangers of cutting-edge gene splicing.
